DietducateX Account Deletion

DietducateX users can submit an account and app data deletion request through the app or by sending a manual request to admin@dietducatex.org.

1. How to delete your account

  1. Open Settings in the DietducateX app.
  2. Select Delete Account.
  3. Read the explanation, complete the confirmation step, and submit the deletion request.

After the request is submitted, the account enters a 30-day grace period. If you log in again during that period, the deletion request is automatically canceled.

If you cannot access the app, please email admin@dietducatex.org with the subject DietducateX Account Deletion Request.

2. Data deleted from the main app

  • User account, profile, onboarding progress, goals, and setup plan.
  • Food logs, water logs, exercise logs, weight and waist records, favourites, recipes, and progress photos stored on the app server.
  • Community posts and interactions, consultation sessions, notification tokens, OTP records, and device login sessions.
  • Wallet, badges, check-ins, action logs, report snapshots, and other gamification data directly linked to the app account.

3. Data that may remain temporarily

  • Operational backups and logs may remain for up to 30 days before permanent deletion or overwrite.
  • Research data that has been separated for study, ethics, audit, or research archiving purposes is not used as an active app account and may be retained according to consent documents and research protocols.

4. Research data

For research participants, some research data may be managed separately from the app account under the Participant Information Sheet, consent process, and ethics protocol. Research datasets may be pseudonymised or aggregated. Identifiable research data is generally retained for up to 5 years, re-identification keys are planned to be stored separately for 3 years, and final anonymised datasets may be kept longer in trusted research archives.

5. Account status after deletion

Deleting a DietducateX account is a 30-day grace-period deletion request. The account is permanently removed if you do not log in again within the grace period.
